I was lucky enough to do a lot of travelling when I was younger, numerous summers in Malta, Majorca and the Algarve, ski trips to Austria and Italy and also Florida for Disney, but when I left school I still had no idea what I wanted to do. After deciding College was not for me , my Head of Year put me in contact with the Travel Training Company and I found a local Travel Agent to take me on as an Apprentice. Mt first fam trip was to Jamaica with a surprise side trip to the Bahamas where we got to see Atlantis (it was new then) and swim with dolphins. I think this was when I knew leaving college was the right decision!
My 25 year travel career has involved various roles from a small high street agency sorting brochures and booking packages on viewdata to a large call centre where I had a different name for 5 years! Fast forward to now, with a few years specialising in Madeira I am just coming up to my 17th Year at Prestige.
Having worked in the industry for so long and having visited so many places it is hard to pick my favourite but if I had to choose I would say Malta. Some might say it is an odd choice but I think Malta is like Marmite, you either Love it of Hate it and I love them both. It was my first ever flight and I spent so many of my childhood summers there it is like a second home.
