United States of America
If your holiday includes a visit to the USA please read the information below.
Clients planning to visit the United States under the visa waiver scheme must ensure they comply with US Customs regulations in advance of their travel.
Applying is easy – customers can provide the information online at https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov/esta for an ESTA.
Clients who fail to apply for ESTA up to 72 hours before departure may result in delayed travel and additional costs.
This will affect passport holders from all countries currently participating in the visa-waiver scheme including UK passport holders.
Canada
Canada implemented an Electronic Travel Authorisation (eTA) which took effect for all visitors in September 2016.
The eTA cost around $7.00. Apply online at www.cic.gc.ca. If your holiday involves a stay or touchdown in the USA, an electronic visa (ESTA) is required please see www.cbp.gov/esta. Further information for visitors to the USA please see above.
All visitors to Canada or USA must have a return or onward ticket and sufficient funds to support them during their stay.
Australia & New Zealand
Australia have implemented an Electronic Travel Authorisation (eTA) which applies to all non-citizens.
For more information or to apply online - Visas and citizenship (embassy.gov.au). If your holiday involves a stay or touchdown in the USA, an electronic visa (ESTA) is required, please see above.
UK passport holders travelling to New Zealand from will need to apply for an Electronic Travel Authority (eTA) style visa. For more information and to apply on-line visit https://www.immigration.govt.nz/new-zealand-visas/apply-for-a-visa/about-visa/nzeta. Once approved the eTA is valid for 2 years.
All visitors to Australia and New Zealand must have a return or onward ticket and sufficient funds to support them during their stay.
In all cases it is the travellers responsibility to ensure they have the correct documentation.
