Star Castle Hotel

Built in 1593, this exceptional Elizabethan castle is in the form of an eight-point star and is ideally located only a short stroll from Hugh Town.

Accommodation 

Rooms in varying sizes and locations. Castle rooms, some superior seaview rooms. Single rooms, in the Guard Houses on the Castle’s rampart, and accessed from outside. Garden rooms. Upgrade to a room with a private lawn area with deck chairs, or a private veranda with sea views or a Garden Suite. Two bedroom suites with harbour or sea views.

Living 

Award-winning Castle Dining Room with exposed beams and an open fire, and the vine-clad Conservatory, which is light and airy with fabulous views. The Dungeon Bar, where prisoners languished 400 years ago, is now a welcoming spot after a day exploring. Please note this hotel is located up a relatively steep hill, so may not be suitable for the less mobile.
