La Palma is certainly one of the smaller, quieter, more rural Canary Islands. The climate is varied, due in part to the fact that the mountains are so close to the coast. Choose to walk the hills and forests or enjoy a paperback on the beach. Eating out is also an enormous pleasure, with lots of fresh ingredients produced locally. At sea level, the temperature generally averages 20°C year round, with the western side of the island being a little drier and warmer.
Due to its clear skies and the lack of light pollution, La Palma is a great location for star gazing, one of the best locations in the world in fact. UNESCO declared the whole island of La Palma a Biosphere Reserve.
La Palma is very popular with our more discerning independent guests and getting there is easy with direct flights from London Gatwick and from Manchester – or you can fly into Tenerife South and get a connecting flight to La Palma.
