A fairy-tale destination, Lake Bled is known for its teardrop-shaped island, home to a charming church where visitors can ring the famous wishing bell for good fortune. Traditional horse-drawn carriages (known as "fijakers") gracefully circle the lake, while traditional wooden boats called "pletna" ferry visitors to the island.
