This destination is easily paired with many places in Croatia, particularly the Dubrovnik Riviera. It offers a diverse landscape of mountains, valleys, and lovely beaches, alongside old towns, quaint villages, and charming cobbled streets. A visit to Cetinje, the old capital, and the famous Skadar Lake is highly recommended.
The UNESCO-listed city of Kotor is an exquisite medieval walled city, where cars are absent, and Venetian-inspired architecture abounds. You can enjoy a 4½ km-long ramparts walk, and the city also offers excellent bars and restaurants. A good shingle beach is just a five-minute walk north of the old city.
Budva is possibly the most well-known resort on the coast and has a lively atmosphere, particularly in July and August. It features a lovely old walled town with churches, museums, and cobbled streets, along with a seafront promenade and good beaches.
Becici, once a fishing village, now offers sand and pebble beaches that are great for families. It has a good selection of bars and restaurants, and a coastal promenade that connects to Budva, making for a pleasant walk.
